Can I access my files from places other than the MNE PC labs?
Definately. There are two primary servers here. The first one, blossom, is where your files are stored. The second one, mnepdc, handles printing. There are two possibilites for accessing these machines:
1) On Campus / Wireless
Put one of the following locations in the windows Start-> Run blank:
\\blossom.mne.ksu.edu\users\your_username
\\blossom.mne.ksu.edu\classes
\\blossom.mne.ksu.edu\apps
Use MNE\your_username as the username
For a list of printers, use \\mnepdc.mne.ksu.edu. The printers are generally named for their location.
If you have trouble connecting, substitute 129.130.41.80 for blossom and 129.130.41.94 for mnepdc.
2) Off Campus
Install and run the campus VPN client ( http://www.k-state.edu/cns/networks/vpn )
Proceed as in step 1 above.
