Student Awarded Prestigious SAE Scholarship

Thomas Pollock, senior in mechanical engineering, was awarded a scholarship from the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Thomas Pollock, senior in mechanical engineering at Kansas State University, was awarded a Long Term Member Sponsored Scholarship from the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Pollock, De Soto, was one of six worldwide recipients of the honor. He will receive a $1,000 nonrenewable scholarship from the international society. The scholarship recognizes outstanding student members who actively support the society and its activities.

Pollock's eligibility for the scholarship was based on his membership and support of the society and the recommendation of David Pacey, professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering at K-State.

Pollock is the president of K-State's Society of Automotive Engineers chapter and Formula SAE leader.
