Provide TOEFL scores.  The TOEFL examination is required of all international students.  Your TOEFL score must be above 600 on the written exam, 250 on the computer exam, or 100 on the internet-based exam for admission.  We will give preference to those students with TOEFL scores above 600 or 250 depending on the type of exam taken.

You must meet the above requirements.  For applicants requesting admission in Fall, all information must be received before February 1.  For applicants requesting Spring admission, all information must be received before August 1.

The graduate school requires an application fee of $55.00 for all international students, which must be paid with a cashier's check or money order made payable to Kansas State University Graduate School for the amount of $55 U.S. dollars, personal checks will NOT be accepted.

Students should plan for a minimum 18 calendar month period of study for the M.S. degree, and 48 calendar months for the Ph.D. degree.

The department may provide assistantships to a limited number of international students each year.  Graduate Research Assistantship stipends are approximately $1,100.00 per month for 9 calendar months per year.  In addition, students receiving a Graduate assistantship pay resident tuition, which is approximately 1/3 of the non-resident tuition.  Students who do not receive an assistantship must have at least $26,285 available each year to cover all necessary expenses.

You can apply on-line and find all the forms required plus any additional information, including an on-line application form at the graduate school's web-site address: http://www.ksu.edu/grad.
