Advising Procedures

Enrollment for fall 2008 classes begins on Monday, March 24th and continues over the following weeks. All students MUST schedule an appointment and meet with their assigned advisor prior to enrolling.

Advising sessions
MNE faculty will provide enrollment advising during three advising sessions in Fiedler Library from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the following days:

Students with 72 or more hours completed – Thursday, March 13th

Students with 46 or more hours completed – Thursday, March 27th

All students who have not yet enrolled – Thursday, April 3rd

How to schedule an appointment
Online scheduling of individual appointments with your advisor during the advising sessions is being utilized. The online enrollment advising appointment signup is here. Signup will close at 5:00 pm the day before each advising session.

If your advisor is not available during the Fiedler advising sessions, you will receive an email from them with alternative times. Those times will also be available on the online advising sign up.

It is important that you schedule and then attend your advising session. If you miss your scheduled session, you will have to reschedule for the next session to get your enrollment flag changed. This might delay your enrollment and reduce your class selection.

Who is my advisor?
If you’re not sure who your assigned advisor is, go here.

PLEASE COME PREPARED!
Before attending your advising session, use the online course schedule  and complete (as best you can) the Enrollment Worksheet.

Students are assigned an enrollment time that is based on their total K-State hours completed and transfer hours accepted. Enrollment can be completed via KATS or in person in the Enrollment Center in 210 Willard Hall.

Enhancing the success of MNE students by providing them with quality enrollment advising is a very high priority in the MNE Department. If you have questions or comments on advising, please let us know. We are all here to help.
